The project, carried out as part of the Cité Éducative d'Aulnay, involves Year 9 classes and the UPE2A at Pablo Neruda Secondary School, as well as two Year 6 classes at André Malraux Primary School. Through artistic experimentation workshops, debates and discussions, the secondary and primary school pupils are involved in the design and creation of a collective installation.
The project explores the values of living together and accepting others, and encourages individual and collective expression. The final presentation, guided by Ilona Mikneviciute's participatory artistic approach, will be developed over time. Secondary and primary school pupils will come together around a shared creation that conveys powerful messages.
"Some words are difficult to say and hear. But without them, nothing exists. We must say them in order to make them our own.At the right time, in the right place, they take on meaning, becoming landmarks, directions, rhythms.Together, the pupils carry them, trace them and offer them up. They are their words, their imprints..."
Ilona Mikneviciute
